Hey friends! Long time to type/talk! We are back for a new year and I have 363 days to figure out what I wanna do with this blog and youtube. I really miss making cards so lets kick things off there!
Today I pulled out Wplus9’s Flora and Fauna 3 and made a card! And yes I filmed it for my youtube channel!
I have been doing so much with my watercolours last year that you didn’t get to see, I decided to grab something different do this one all in coloured pencils! I am going to be honest this was not a fast process. This card took me over 3 hours. Because I had 3 hours of footage to edit down for todays video!
I really love all the small details when it comes to one layer cards, shadows under the focal peice, the shading to make it look slightly sunken boarder. This one was just a blast! I love the little gouache addition to help the sentiment pop and brighten up the centers of the flowers!

This is just stunning, Jessie! Your colouring is awesome and I love all the little details, shadows and the clever way you created a faux layer with inking…think I will be casing this technique!? (Especially as there’s no way I could produce anything else to this standard!) Fantastic!
