WPlus9 Flora and Fauna 3

Hey friends! Long time to type/talk! We are back for a new year and I have 363 days to figure out what I wanna do with this blog and youtube. I really miss making cards so lets kick things off there!

Today I pulled out Wplus9’s Flora and Fauna 3 and made a card! And yes I filmed it for my youtube channel!

I have been doing so much with my watercolours last year that you didn’t get to see, I decided to grab something different do this one all in coloured pencils! I am going to be honest this was not a fast process. This card took me over 3 hours. Because I had 3 hours of footage to edit down for todays video!

I really love all the small details when it comes to one layer cards, shadows under the focal peice, the shading to make it look slightly sunken boarder. This one was just a blast! I love the little gouache addition to help the sentiment pop and brighten up the centers of the flowers!

2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge

Hey all! Today I am sneaking in under the wire to play along with the MFT Stamps Colouring Virtuoiso Challenge.

I pulled out my Tweet Friends stamp set from MFT and Stacey Yacula.

Stamping it with my Cement Gray ink pad, and pulling out my coloured pencils and getting to work!

I have always loved the look of pencils on toned paper, kraft, gray, or black I love all of them with my coloured pencils. After slowly building up the layers to get the main image coloured up. I added a start white outline just to let the little bird pop off theback ground. Some gental scratchy colouring to give the feeling of a background really did finish this one off.

Sunny Vibes

Hey friends! Today I again was playing with my Kraft paper, Copics and Coloured Pencils. It has been my jam the last few days. They take me about 3 mornings of colouring before work!

So I masked out the little van and put the tree in behind it. After that stamping the sun to the right side of the paper. All using Ink on 3 No Lines ink. I really like it on the kraft paper for this look.

I do really love the white highlight I added between the images and the blue sky.

Magical Dragons

Hey friends! Today I pulled out the Magical Dragons set from MFT and my copics and coloured pencils on some kraft paper.

I stamped it out with come really light ink for the no lines look. Then added in the background and detail in the dragon with my coloured pencils. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep track of all the coloured I used, cuz it was just some late night colouring for 100% fun!

I added the cloud in the background with a stencil then added the colour after. A few small enamel dots with a small sentiment finished off this sweet little card!

Wallpaper Art

Hey everyone! This one took 3 days to complete, but I am in love with the way it came out.

I have wanted this set, Wallpaper Art from Altenew, since it first came out. I finally got my hands on it. I had this vision of white flowers on kraft paper. Which meant coloured pencils.

It turned out exactly as I imagined, and during the 30 day colouring challenge it fit in perfect. Took a few days to complete, with a little colouring a day.

Curvy Girl Eats Cake

Hey everyone! Today I have a guest post for Stamping Bella! I am so thrilled to be guest designing for them, it really is a dream. I have loved the stamps this company releases for years!

For my first card, I pulled out Curvy Girl Eats Cake and my coloured pencils. I haven’t shown my pencils much love lately, but this was the perfect opportunity.

I stamped her out with a light colour ink, to give the no lines colouring look, once everything was finished. Then I went in and coloured it up with my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.

Once I got her all coloured up, I decided I wanted the sentiment to look really sketchy as well. So I stamped it with the same light coloured ink, then traced over it with my black pencils to give it the sketchy look.

For today’s card I pulled out Dino-mite Pals and stamped them out of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock with Memento Desert Sand ink. To do some no lines coloured pencils!
