Frosted Garden

Hey friends! Today I have a card and video sharing a card I am in love with. That involves NO COLOURING. If you have been following my blog for any length of time you know that I colour literally all the time. This is so outside my norm. I would love to know what you think!

I stamped out all the images using the Coffee Break in set on white cardstock, and watercolour paper. Then spend AGES fussy cutting them all out. I then inkblended a tall slimline card to place them all on. A fun die cut sentiment paired with a stamped one finished this card off!

I do prefer the solid stamping on the white cardstock as opposed to the stamping on the watercolour paper. I am interested to know which look you prefer!

And now for the process video!

The Greeting Farm – March Preview Day 3

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to another day of previews for The Greeting Farm!

Today we get to introduce Miss Anya Bless! This one is super pretty, and now that I am typing this, I should have used yesterdays set and buried her in florals. I will have to do that!

I coloured her up with my copic markers, then fussy cut her out. Then I was at a loss, no idea what to do with her. So I took her over to my patterned paper stash and found a scrap of paper from Prima, probably from 7 or more years ago and used it to mat a kraft panel on. Pulling out my Distress Oxides and a clound stencil I created an angle of clouds and bordered it with a white line. Popping the girl up on top finished this card off.

Welcome back to the third day of previews for The Greeting Farm! Today we have a new set called Happy Easter to share with you all!

I coloured up a couple of the adorable little characters with my copic markers, cutting them out and placing them on a simple background. I do a scavenger hunt every year with my son, and this is one of the card I will use as a clue for him!

The Greeting Farm January 2020 – preview day 2

For day 2 of The Greeting Farm previews, we are previewing the Love You die! I paired it up with Greateful for You stamp set!

I embossed the florals from the Grateful for You stamp set in white embossing powder on hotpress watercolor paper. Adding a few layers of distress oxide “squishing it with water” technique, I don’t know what to call it… wait its smooshhing right, something like that.

After that was dry, I took a black pencil and traced the embossing under neath and to the right to make it look as though the flowers are actually popped up when they are flat!

I then cut the Love You sentiment out of the panel and 4 more times out of white layering those up to create an eclipse card.

Friends with Fins

Hey everyone! Today I have a sweet little fish card. Using some My Favorite things products!

I pulled out my Schminke watercolours and painted up all the fish in the Friends with Fins stamp set. I stamped them out with Distress Ink Antique Linen. Then I fussy cut them all out once they were painted.

The background started with a blend from light to dark blues. Adding the white rays over the top with the pigment ink, then giving it a bit of a finished edge with the brown distress oxide.

Adding a few sequins and tiny enamel dots finished off this card.

MFT Stamps – Piggy Pebbles

Hey everyone! Today I am back with a one layer card full of all different types of mediums!

I am loving all the stamps that My Favorite Things now is making with Stacey Yacula. Today I have pulled out the Piggy Pebbles set!

I started by stamping and masking out the pig and the sentiment. Masking it off I then embossed the raindrops, followed by inkblending the background. Then went at the image with my copic markers. But check out my complete process video!

Get Well Soon

Hey everyone! Nurses week is coming and I made these 4 sweet cards for a lady and thought they were the perfect project to share with you all of you!
I pulled out the Get Well Soon set and coloured up the same little nurse in different colour combinations.
I then inked up some white paper with my Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonaid, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral. Then cut it down to 2″ strips, popping a vellum circle on top with an embossed sentiment then adding the little nurse finish off the front of the card.
