Gina K Designs – Peaceful Christmas

Hey all! I am so excited for today’s post! I was asked to do some guest work for Gina K Designs! Of course I jumped at the chance. I love Gina as a person as well as her products!

Keeping with my typical style and brain of not following the theme of any stamp set. When I saw the Peaceful Christmas set and the row of trees in it, immediately I saw rainbow! Even before counting that there were 7 trees in the line, could it have been more perfect for a rainbow row of trees!

I started by stamping out the trees on watercolour paper with the Amalgam ink, in skeleton keys. I then pulled out my watercolours and started painting the trees in a ROYGIBV pattern of course!

Once the painting was completed I stamped a sentiment from the Majestic Peony set, because I have now strayed pretty far from a Christmas themed card! That was is I called this one complete!

Altenew – Paint a Flower – Poppy Outline

Hey all! I have really been loving exploring one colour with my paintings, since I did the slimline card for Altenew.

So for today’s card I again paired an Altnew image up with one tube of watercolour! Then I had a good play.

I stamped out the image with no lines ink, then pulled out Josheph Z’s Warm Grey from Daniel Smith.

I had a great time, learning how to achieve all the shadows and highlights, so that one colour can give you a full range!

Our 3rd set featured an adorable girl all ready for the holiday parties named HOLIDAY ANYA 8. And finally, we showcased an awesome digi set called HELLO FALL combined with FALL SAYINGS and BACKS 3.

All the colouring was done using E40 series of markers.

The Greeting Farm – October Previews Day 2

Hey all! Today is day 2 of previews for The Greeting Farm October release!

Today’s preview is from a set called Warm Wishes, it has the 2 cute characters I used in my card, as well as, a boy with a dog and a big bow! As always the set is filled out with some sweet sentiments.

I chose to colour mine with my copic markers, and just add in the background with some freehanded birch trees and the snow on the ground. A little bit of bright blue, to add to crisp winter feel of the scene!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs

Altenew Beauty Within and Wax seal

Hey all! I am super late sharing this on my blog, but I have been dealing with an allergy for a month now that keeps causing my eyes to swell and hives everywhere, but I digress we are here to share a pretty card!

I was blessed in September to have a guest spot with Altenew. Those of you that know me, know that I swoon over Altenews stamps and products! This was a dream come true!

I did some embossing and painting on some black watercolor paper. Using a ton of fun products from Altenew!

Also, if you haven’t seen it on their channel yet, I created a process video of this card!

I am so thrilled with how this one came out. It looks so classic and can be used for pretty much any occasion I can think of!

The Greeting Farm – October Preview Day 1

Hey all! Welcome to day of previews for The Greeting Farm. As always we have 3 wonderful clear sets and one Digital release to share with you all this month!

We are kicking things off with a sweet little set called Star Couple, it featurer a boy and girl character. They are both so sweet!

I decided to pull out my watercolours to paint this one up. Starting with one layer of colour in all the different areas of the image. I then went in and slowly the built up the shadows thru multiple layers of colour. Remember it is easier to add more, not so easy to take it away!

Once our girl character was complete, I took a roll of tape and traced a circle behind here and then flat washed some blue. Added a sentiment and called this one complete!

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs
