Hey friends! Today I am usinga stamp I have had forever! Sketched flowers from SSS.

I was playing off my last card, except I went with my copics, and did the frame in a light colour instead of dark!

I have really been enjoying these slimline cards on toned paper! They really are my jam starting off this year! I will try to change it up but when I like something I tend to kinda run with it!

Hey friends! Long time to type/talk! We are back for a new year and I have 363 days to figure out what I wanna do with this blog and youtube. I really miss making cards so lets kick things off there!

Today I pulled out Wplus9’s Flora and Fauna 3 and made a card! And yes I filmed it for my youtube channel!

I have been doing so much with my watercolours last year that you didn’t get to see, I decided to grab something different do this one all in coloured pencils! I am going to be honest this was not a fast process. This card took me over 3 hours. Because I had 3 hours of footage to edit down for todays video!

I really love all the small details when it comes to one layer cards, shadows under the focal peice, the shading to make it look slightly sunken boarder. This one was just a blast! I love the little gouache addition to help the sentiment pop and brighten up the centers of the flowers!

2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge

Hey all! Today I am sneaking in under the wire to play along with the MFT Stamps Colouring Virtuoiso Challenge.

I pulled out my Tweet Friends stamp set from MFT and Stacey Yacula.

Stamping it with my Cement Gray ink pad, and pulling out my coloured pencils and getting to work!

I have always loved the look of pencils on toned paper, kraft, gray, or black I love all of them with my coloured pencils. After slowly building up the layers to get the main image coloured up. I added a start white outline just to let the little bird pop off theback ground. Some gental scratchy colouring to give the feeling of a background really did finish this one off.

2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge

Hey friends! Today I am sharing my project for this years MFT Stamps 2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge Clean and Simple!

I started by cutting out the Artist Palette and Brush die. I do believe it may be retired, but I have never used it and this card idea was just to perfect for this challenge not to!

Using distress ink and watercolour to colour the die cuts as well as.

A ruler and a black pen added some great little details to frame this simple design in!

Stamptember 2021!

Hey friends! It is one of my most favorite times of the year again Simon Says Stamp Stamptember!!!

I love these XL Greetings! They allowed me to freehand paint a flowers and put a nice bold sentiment right over the middle of it! Keeping it simple with just a big thanks!

I really enjoy being able to add my own art to a statement sentiment!

MFT Camp and Create Day 2

Hey friends! Long time no see. My summer has been crazy. Outside of being down in the dumps over the world situation, the busy work schedule made me completely step away for a while. But I have missed cardmaking and am hoping you are all excited to see my new creations as I am to get back into cardmaking!

So for today’s project I am sharing what i mae for Day 2 of MFT Stamp Camp and Create! When they announced a watercolour day, there is no way I could not participate!

I pulled out my Art Philosophy (Prima) watercolours and the Magnolia Blossom set from MFT and went to town. ( I will link all products at the end of the blog post)

Just slowly building up intensity, and layers of colours to get the look I want. I start out nice and light then just add layer and layer usually 3 to 5 layers later and I have the look I am picutring in my head.

I then pulled out the All about you set and stamped the “you” in my antique linen Distress Ink then watercoloured over it with a brown. Stamping the rest ofthe sentiment on a co-ordinating cardstock and embossing it in gold finished off this clean little card!

My Favorite Things May 2021 Release

Hey friends! Jessie here playing along with MFT Stamps May new release!

I am always super excited when they invite me to play along, and being as I have been in a funk, this has really pulled me out of it!

So for my first project I had to paint up the Freshly Picked Bouquet! Flowers always speak to me! So I had a play with this gem and my watercolours. Probably my most favorite medium of them all!

Onto my second card, how can you not love the Festive Old Friends, also my grandmothers 86th birthday is this weekend so this set went perfect for it!

I hope she loves it! I had a blast making this one, I also used the In Stitches Alphabet Dies to cut out the Eighty Six.

But I did love this set so much that I had to colour up the entire thing with my copic markers!

Balloon Besties

Hey friends! Today I am playing with a newer release stamp set from MFT Stamps called Balloon Besties! I really love all the balloon images they have been putting out!

I stamped out the little character on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, and coloured it up with my copic markers!

Once the copics were finished I went in with my coloured pencils to add some details and textures to the image! I finally recorded one of these for you!

So for this card, I pulled out a set from MFT that I have had for a long time and my Caran D’ache Neocolor ii’s to create this fun galaxy style card!

I really am happy with how this one came out, I am sure I could have blended the galaxy more but all in all this one came out awesome!

Hello Beautiful Release!

Hey friends! It is release day with Simon Says Stamp! You can check out the whole Hello Beautiful Release here!

I got to play with the Spring Blooms Corner Die! So I inkblended up a couple of background and then cut the die out on some white and black cardstock in order to create the two cards.

I really love the way these came out, it is so fun to get a small mystery parcel from Simon every month and get to play with something new! I popped up the panel with foam tape to get a bit of a shadow on the ink blended background.
