WPlus9 Flora and Fauna 3

Hey friends! Long time to type/talk! We are back for a new year and I have 363 days to figure out what I wanna do with this blog and youtube. I really miss making cards so lets kick things off there!

Today I pulled out Wplus9’s Flora and Fauna 3 and made a card! And yes I filmed it for my youtube channel!

I have been doing so much with my watercolours last year that you didn’t get to see, I decided to grab something different do this one all in coloured pencils! I am going to be honest this was not a fast process. This card took me over 3 hours. Because I had 3 hours of footage to edit down for todays video!

I really love all the small details when it comes to one layer cards, shadows under the focal peice, the shading to make it look slightly sunken boarder. This one was just a blast! I love the little gouache addition to help the sentiment pop and brighten up the centers of the flowers!

Snowies

Hey everyone, today I have a card featuring C.C. Designs products!

I coloured up this jem from Roberto’s Rascals Snowies set. There are 4 fantastic images in this set and I will have to colour up the other 3 very soon!

I used the Layering Tag dies to cut the background for the character, then I cut the Birch tree dies out of masking paper, then I used my distress inks to create the little scene for him.

Hey everyone! Today I have a magnificent card to share with you all (did you see what I did there, did ya, did ya? haha) I have used World of Wonder from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Also don’t forget that Kim has discontinued her rubber stamps, as her manufacturer is no longer making any so if you want this or any other of her rubber stamps you better get them before they are gone! On a plus note her image are now being made in clear photo polymer!

Hellebores

Hey everyone! Today I have a “stretched” card for you all the finished card measures 3″ x 7″, I used the Hellebores digital stamp from Power Poppy, cropped it to fit a section of the flowers onto the front of my card and then coloured it up with my copic markers.

The Sentiment also comes from that same digital stamp.

Pirate

ARF Pirate 1

Hey everyone, when I was in the studio yesterday making cards, I was digging through my pile of coloured images that hadn’t yet been put onto a card and ran into this gem. He jumped out at me because the other day I ran accross the pirate paper scraps in my scrap paper drawers (yes I am still on the try and use up some of my paper kick) and I think they were a perfect match. The image is Pirate Adventure from A Random Fan, and was coloured up with copic markers.

Unfortunately because of how long ago I coloured this it was before I was keeping track of all of my colours. And if you look at my other work you can see how far my colouring has come, even from this, BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t love this little image and he still deserved to be on a card. Remember, the more you colour the better you get!

Reindeer 1

Hey everyone! I am back with my last Christmas card for this year! The current challenge over on the Polkadoodles challenge blog  is Anything Goes. So for this card I reached for the Work & Play 5 Hollybobs Collection. In this collection you will find some extra digital images aside from the main characters and that is where I found Rudy, this gem of a reindeer! You will also find all of the patterned paper I used on this card in that collection as well! It really is a fantastic holiday collection.

The image was printed out onto kraft coloured cardstock and coloured with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. I didn’t write down the colours I used as this was one of the first images I coloured up with them and I wasn’t entirely sure that it would turn out (that will teach me to always write them down!)

I used two of the lovely patterned papers from this collection and layered them on kraft and white cardstock. I had this wood veneer in my stash (probably came from Micheals) and painted it white then cut my image down to fit inside of it. The twine and lace are also from my stash.
