Hey all! I am here today with a fun new post featuring Power Poppy and some watercolor paints that I never reach for. It is fun to use the colours that you never reach for, it also stretches your ability and allows you to learn more.
I loved painting this sweet little Poppy up in these colours. I have a little process video to share with you all if you would like to paint along with me!
Hey everyone. Can you believe it is almost the end of March, the snow is melting fast here! Spring is in the air, my son pulled out his bike and is impatiently waiting for me to make a trip to the city to get him a new skateboard. That is probably happening next weekend. I am pulling out bright vivid colours into my cardmaking, impatiently waiting for summer.
I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, this weeks theme is CUTE! I don’t spend a lot of time watching youtube videos lately, and yes I know I need to film some more. That is coming I have my ducks almost in a row again, I know I say that all the time. But I did watch Jennifer McGuire’s recent video about shadow box cards, I altered it a bit to create a dome card and still have a folding card in the back. But that was the basis of the card.
I pulled out the Gill Friends set from My Favorite Things. All links to products used in this card will be at the end of the blog post. I stamped and coloured all the fish in a no lines style, then fussy cut them out.
Creating the dome aquarium panel to lay on top of the wave stenciled background. I used a little fishing line to pop some of the fish up near the front. I am thrilled with how cute this card turned out. I may have to make a few more in this style!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed my little project. Now to head to the basement and do some filming!
Hey everyone, I have recently picked up a new set of watercolours, the Altenew 36 pan set (all links at the bottom of blog post). I am currently testing and getting to know them, and will do a video in the next week or so about my opinion.
Anyway, this is my first card made with those paints.
I stamped and embossed the flowers, then painted them up with a bunch of the pinks and greens in the watercolor set.
I then cut them out, adding a splash of watercolour to a background panel. I built up all the floral’s to create this sweet little thank you card .
WOOHOO! Today we are celebrating all the new goodies from our MARCH Release at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!
All THREE new clear stamp sets are NOW available over at the Krafty Shop, along with our new Sparkling Sapphire inks, TWO new stencils and our new Springy Krafty Dots!
My son loves to read. I probably make him a new little bookmark every month. This is what I do for him lately, I take the image he has chosen and colour just a part of it. Then he uses it to doodle on, to take notes about the book, the things he wants to tell me on.
He loves the Llama’s so I coloured up the blanket on him and the ropes on his neck, the rest I have left for Caleb to do.
Welcome back to our third and FINAL day of March Krafty Peeks!
Today we have a FAIRY sweet stamp set from our newest artist, Neda Sadreddin! It’s called YOU GIVE ME WINGS!
This adorable set features three lovely fairy images plus a few accessory stamps, a fairy DOOR and several coordinating sentiments! I mean, so FAIRY cute!
I coloured her up with my copic markers and then fussy cut her out. I used the new Sparkling Sapphire Ink and the Krafty Scenery Stencil to add some light clouds into the background. Adding in the sentiment, with a little “stamp surgery” to remove the wings finished off this sweet CAS card.
It’s the 15th, and the MARCH RELEASE is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. Our first set is called LIVE, LOVE, EAT, and features the cutest little girls and kawaii FOOD. You can’t get any better than that to create the most adorable planner pages and cards! Next, we have GO FOR IT ANYA. Talk about inspiring you to get up and get it! This gal is all about strength, determination, and reaching for those goals. Finally, we have GRADUATION. Imagine your recipient’s joyful expression when he/she receives a card featuring these cuties.
I used the Graduation set again, to create something super clean and simple a little coping colouring and grounding a few black lines around the outside of the card finished it off in such a sweet way.
