Altenew Build-A-Flower: Cora Louise Peony Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! I am honoured to be participating with Altenew New Build-a-flower Blog Hop!

I am always thrilled when I get to play along with Altenew, nothing makes me happier then when I get to play with watercolours and Altenew ALWAYS offers that opportunity with their floral images.

I embossed the image and the main part of the sentiment with rose gold embossing powder, then painted it up with pink and green. I then decided I wanted less contrast from the background and went in and did a dip dye look with the same pink colour from the floral itself.

Adding the remainder of the sentiment with black ink, I decided to take a black pen and add drop shadows to the embossed part of my sentiment.

Giveaway! $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $15 gift certificate to 10 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 01/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 11 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 01/09/2021.

  2. Hi and Happy New Year to you, Jessie –
I love the beautiful, soft peach background and how it fades out. It’s superb! I also love the way you’ve colored the flowers. Very inspirational.

  3. absolutely gorgeous card, the gold heat embossed flowers are so dainty and delicate. But i love your soothing pink background.. it is so beautiful and feminine. Thank You for sharing with me.. what a great way to start a new year.. wishing you a happy new year

  4. Gorgeous!!! I love the watercolored flower and leaves – different from the stamped inked images. These stamps are so versatile and can be used with different mediums. Your card has such a pretty soft pink/coral coloring – Love it! The background coloring makes it all flow very well. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and amazing talent with us. Happy New Year! 🙂

  5. So beautiful, especially the simplicity of the “dip dye” wash with the same color. And the black pen shadow on the sentiment is brilliant.

  6. There is just something about the gold embossing powder on the card makes me happy. It brings the colors to the surface and the finish is what everyone receiving the card, they touch it and ask, how did you do that? Beautiful card here, very nice.

Hey! Let me know what you think, I love hearing it!
