Altenew Fresh Start Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey friends! Today I am thrilled to be participating in Altenew’s Fresh Start Blog Hop! You can see the entire Fresh Start Collection here!

I have a couple projects to share with you all today, but I will kick things off with this gem using the Airbrushed Flowers Stamps, dies and stencil.

I started off by inking up the background panel in a brown gradient, then adding some silhouettes of the flowers and leaves in the same brown in the background.

I then stamped out the flowers and leaves on some watercolor paper and painted them up using the Altenew Artist’s Watercolours and die cut those out layering them on the card front. Keeping the sentiment simple with a little Hello to to finish it off!

For my second card I white embossed the large floral in the Enchanted Roses stamps set on some kraft coloured cardstock.

I then kept it simple using Tea Party and Green Hills mixed with a little Green Meadows to paint them out. Kraft paper does not take watercolour as well as watercolour paper, but I kept the water to a minimum and it worked out so well! Stamping “Live” with the Limestone ink and outlining it with some white really set it off, and a small flag pannel finished off the rest of the sentiment!

  1. Both of these are beautiful, but you are definitely right in the first one being a gem. I rarely think to use much brown, but you really made it work.

  2. Wow! Amazing cards. Love the way you created the background for the first one and the watercoloring on kraft for the second one. Thanks for sharing!

  3. That brown ombre with those muted flowers is one of the most beautiful color arrangements that I have seen in a long time. This project is breath-taking.

  4. I am blown away with the water coloring and stamping of your first card! So amazing and beautiful. I just love those soft, antique like colors.

  7. Both cards are very pretty. Love the first one with the brown background and soft watercolor flowers. This card is soft and ever so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent and ideas with us. 🙂

  8. Oh, Jesse, your watercoloring. Sigh. How I wish I had your gift. But it is a blessing you share with us. I just stare at it for a couple minutes because it lifts my spirits. I would frame the first card.

  9. Your first card is amazing! The flowers look like the are being transported right off of the card. It has a vintage feel and I love that!!

  10. Spectacular watercolor images! Just in awe of your talent! Thank you for the detailed instructions on how you made these cards 🙂
