Hey all, you know how sometimes life gets crazy busy, and just have no time and the mojo takes a holiday… Well that is what I have been dealing with, it is not very often I don’t make something for a couple of weeks, but that is what I have been dealing with lately.
One of my favorite things to do is paint up some florals for a card, and being on the Power Poppy team allows me to do that, which is great when I need to force myself back into creating.
So I printed off the Everything’s Rosy digital image and turned on the camera and took an hour or so to myself and just painted it.
By the end I found myself again, it was fun and I loved getting back into the swing of things, sometimes you just need to push yourself to make something.. anything!

Hey everyone! It is time for a new release from Power Poppy!! This new digital image is called Blossoming Cherries! This is a gorgeous branch of floral with three sentiments to go along with it! I have always loved colouring and painting up floral images!
I painted this one up with my Daniel Smith watercolours, using transparent laters on Fabriano Artistico 140lbs hotpress watercolour paper!
Isn’t Marcella just a genious with the images she gives us to play with!

Hey everyone! I am finally back on my floral game! I have truly missed painting up flowers. So for today’s card I cropped and printed off Power Poppy’s Magnolia Sunshine Digital image on some Fabriano Artistico 140lbs hotpress watercolor paper.
I bought these Jane Davenport watercolours, because the tins were so cute and got around to finally trying the paint! You don’t need to have the worlds priciest paint to create beautiful bright vivid floral cards! Just look at how those colours work together, I was, overall, impressed with these paints.
I didn’t think I was going to have time to get a video of this one together for you all, but I stayed up a little late and got it done, I love filming watercolour and getting to see it all come together again as I edit the video! I hope you enjoy.

Hey everyone! The wonderful Marcy from Power Poppy and her other half and getting married tomorrow! So as a pre-wedding event the Bloomies and the Instant Gardeners decided we should have a blog hop!
So I decided to do what I love to do best, take a digital image, this time I chose the Climbing Clemantis and blow it up super large, I used a sentiment from the Cuppa Buttercups digital set and painted it all with my watercolours!
I have a love for painting florals, I have not had much of a chance to do many of them lately, but that doesn’t change how much I love them!!
Hey all! Today is new release day for Power Poppy! I love that Marcella has both clear and Digital images for us to play with, and today is a digital one, so you can pick it up now and use it now!
Isn’t this adorable, and there are a few different versions so you don’t have to use the candy cane, one has a bow instead of just the bow tails (that is so not the proper word but it is the one I am going with lol)
I did my usual thing, I enlarged the image and added a great sentiment and then coloured it up, I always find the Power Poppy images look so good when they are huge! once I was done colouring it, I added some clean Nuvo drops over the berries, as you would glossy accents or something of that nature and then called it done!
Copics used:
Red – R89, R29, R08, R05, R02
Green – YG99, YG67, YG63, YG61, Y21
Yellower Green – YG97, YG95, YG93, Y11
Blue – B05, B04, B02, B01, BV25, BV23, BV20

Hey everyone, today I have a card and video for Power Poppy Stamps, hopefully to kick your mojo into high gear and remind you that no flowers have to follow traditional colours!
I have coloured the Sunflower Power Digital stamp, every colour under the sun! And this Tiger Lily XL is quickly becoming the same thing. I love that about florals, just because something “should be orange or pink… doesn’t mean I can not colour it teal!!
Seriously I love this flower, the size is amazing! And if you have seen any of my work with the digital stamps here at Power Poppy, I tend to blow them up and crop this, and this stamp gives me that same effect just in clear form! P.S. keep your eyes peeled for a new release, I have it on pretty good authority that another XL stamp is going to have to come live with me!
Oh yeah, of course I have a process video of colouring this lovely image up!
