Power Poppy – Sweet Pea

Hey everyone! Today I have a new release image for Power Poppy, this one is called Sweet Pea and it is a Digital Stamp!

PPJAN1701D_SweetPeaShow.gif

I chose to do my typical thing and  blew the image up and cropped it onto a A2 size card front! I coloured the image with everything I could imagine, watercolours, Copics, coloured pencils and gouache!

This image is so lovely and I cant wait to print it up again, I think I would like to do it in more subdued colours!

Orchid Dreams

Hey all! I am back today with a new special release Digital Stamp for Power Poppy!

I love this image, Marcella created this one for Rhea’s 50th birthday! It is so lovely! You can grab Orchid Dreams Digital Image here.

I painted this one up with watercolour using both my Schmicke set as well as a couple Daniel Smith paints. I don’t keep track of the paints I use as they are always mixed together and different colours layered on top of eachother. But I do take my time and add lots of layers.

There are some other examples using this image from the wonderful Design Team!

Chickadee in Barberry

Hey everyone, today I have a watercoloured card using Power Poppy’s Chicadee in Barberry Digital Stamp. I painted it on Fabriano Artistico 140lbs Hotpress Watercolour paper with my Schmicke watercolours.

Chickadee 1.jpg

I really enjoyed the ease of painting this image, it created a card so easy with just the painting and popping it up onto a card base. Marcella’s art is so fantastic!

I ruffed up the edges of the watercolour paper and called it a card. I really am going to have to paint this one again.

Hey everyone, today I have a new release digital stamp from Power Poppy – Fall Haul to share with you all.

pp-fall-haul-1

I printed my image onto copic xpress-it blending card and coloured it with copic markers then enhanced everything with coloured pencils. I used the Creative Basics – Cutting Edge Borders 1 , and cut the top with the stitched curved die and let a bit of patterned paper peek out!

Pure Prairie Bouquet

Hey everyone! Today I get to share with you my first ever Design Team post for Power Poppy, I have loved these flower stamps since I discovered them about a year ago. Needless to say I as over the moon when I was asked to take a DT position with them.

Now before we get into the new bouquet, remember to stop by the Power Poppy blog tomorrow to see the new Clear stamps being released!

PP Prairie Bouquet

I zoomed in and cropped out a part of the Pure Prairie Bouquet to use for my card, I flipped the image so the butterfly faced the opposite direction. I didn’t do any research for proper colours for anything, just, as I usually do, grabbed whatever I thought looked pretty. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the background to photograph the way it really is, the camera is leaving it a way harsher line around the yellow, where in real life it slowly fades out into the white and you don’t see that sharp transition.

Don’t forget to go to the Power Poppy Blog and see all the awesomeness the team created with this image!

Azalea Process and Zig Clean Color Revie

Hey everyone, today I have a rather long video for you, and its a little something different. I recently picked up some (7) Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to try out. So I recorded that as well as a complete card process for you all so its a bit of a long video this time.

PP Azalea 1

I painted up the Azalea Stamp set from Power Poppy for this little card. I used dark pink, pink, turquoise green, and light green to colour it.

PP Azalea 2

Hope you enjoyed the video, I know I forgot to colour in the stems but I am still thrilled with the way the cards turned out.

I would like to enter this into this months challenge over at Power Poppy – Happy Mail.
