Inspire Me Monday – Magnolia Sunshing

Hey everyone! I am finally back on my floral game! I have truly missed painting up flowers. So for today’s card I cropped and printed off Power Poppy’s Magnolia Sunshine Digital image on some Fabriano Artistico 140lbs hotpress watercolor paper.

I bought these Jane Davenport watercolours, because the tins were so cute and got around to finally trying the paint! You don’t need to have the worlds priciest paint to create beautiful bright vivid floral cards! Just look at how those colours work together, I was, overall, impressed with these paints.

I didn’t think I was going to have time to get a video of this one together for you all, but I stayed up a little late and got it done, I love filming watercolour and getting to see it all come together again as I edit the video! I hope you enjoy.

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps – Summer Challenge

Hey everyone! Today I am here with a new challenge card for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! I am hosting this week, and being that I live in Saskatchewan, I am ready for winter to end so I went with a summer themed challenge!

I coloured up the mermaid from the Sea Jewels Set with my copic markers then cut her out! I created the background with my distress inks and watercolours.

Create a card, scrapbook page, altered item etc. with a SUMMER theme and submit your design for your chance to WIN! You have until Friday, January 26th to enter this challenge! Keep in mind, all entries are welcome but you must use a Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamp in order to win.

Each Saturday we post a new challenge and you can enter as many times as you like!!! And each submission during the month will enter you into the monthly prize which will be….
a $40 gift voucher to spend in the krafty shop!!!

Hey everyone! It is Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another Wonder Wednesday, anything goes, challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

I chose to colour up Bootyliscious (unfortunately she is currently out of stock but will be back soon). I really tried to replace this card and use it one it was back. But I got bogged down with a Migraine which didn’t allow that to happen.

First I cut a mask of this stamp on masking paper, it took forever but its always so awesome once its done! Then I used distress inks to create the background, splashing a little water on it.  I coloured up the image with my copic makers, then taking my watercolours I added some more deeper shadows to the image. Once all of that one done and good and dry I took a black pen and added in the hardwood floor lines.

We want EVERYONE to be able to play along so your submission can use ANY stamp and can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item….you name it!! It must be a NEW creation and you can enter on this post until November 28th at midnight! At the end of the month one random winner will be chosen from all the submissions for the whole month and will receive a $20 Gift Card to the shop!!! What do you think…..wanna WIN?? Happy Hedgehogs

Hey everyone! Today I have a nice one layer card to share with you all! I used My Favorite Things- Happy Hedgehogs!

I started by creating masks of all the stamps I wanted on my little scene here. Then stamping and masking them out. I then took a whole bunch of different Distress Inks and created the background. One the inking was done I splashed a bunch of water all over, larger dots of water on the top and smaller on the bottom.

After pulling up masks and colouring up all of the images with my copic markers. I pulled out Green Apatite Genuine, French Ultramarine, and Lunar Black watercolours to add some more interest in the background. Finishing off the card with my White gel pen.

This is Furry Holiday Wishes, and isn’t it adorable? Emilie Goulet does such awesome critters!

I coloured these two cuties up with my copic markers, then I fussy cut them out. I added some splashes of watercolours onto some watercolour paper. I used one sentiment from the stamp set the other sentiment comes from the Evangeline Angel stamp set.

Lucky Tulip

Hey all! I recently ordered some stamps from a company for the first time, so today I have a card to share featuring Lucky Tulip from The Ton.

It has been a long time since I have watercoloured come flowers. It was so fun and relaxing to sit down and play with them. I love the way this card came out.

I used a bunch of different paint colours, Moon Glow, Cobalt Blue, Sap Green, Serpentine Genuin, Green Apatite Genuine, Quinacridone Gold, Rose of Ultramarine, Quinacridone Coral, and Quinacridone Violet.

Up in the Air

Hey all! Today I have a card just for fun! I created this one layer card featuring My Favorite Things Up in the Air, and My Favorite Things Ewe are the Best.

I created masks for all these little stamps using masking paper. Which allowed me to create the background with distress inks, I created a cloud stencil by stamping the clouds touching and fussy cutting them out. After, I coloured all of the images up with my copic markers. I then enhanced the background with a little bit of watercolours and the images with a black coloured pencil and a white gel pen.
