2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge

Hey all! Today I am sneaking in under the wire to play along with the MFT Stamps Colouring Virtuoiso Challenge.

I pulled out my Tweet Friends stamp set from MFT and Stacey Yacula.

Stamping it with my Cement Gray ink pad, and pulling out my coloured pencils and getting to work!

I have always loved the look of pencils on toned paper, kraft, gray, or black I love all of them with my coloured pencils. After slowly building up the layers to get the main image coloured up. I added a start white outline just to let the little bird pop off theback ground. Some gental scratchy colouring to give the feeling of a background really did finish this one off.

2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge

Hey friends! Today I am sharing my project for this years MFT Stamps 2021 Card Design Superstar Challenge Clean and Simple!

I started by cutting out the Artist Palette and Brush die. I do believe it may be retired, but I have never used it and this card idea was just to perfect for this challenge not to!

Using distress ink and watercolour to colour the die cuts as well as.

A ruler and a black pen added some great little details to frame this simple design in!

My Favorite Things May 2021 Release

Hey friends! Jessie here playing along with MFT Stamps May new release!

I am always super excited when they invite me to play along, and being as I have been in a funk, this has really pulled me out of it!

So for my first project I had to paint up the Freshly Picked Bouquet! Flowers always speak to me! So I had a play with this gem and my watercolours. Probably my most favorite medium of them all!

Onto my second card, how can you not love the Festive Old Friends, also my grandmothers 86th birthday is this weekend so this set went perfect for it!

I hope she loves it! I had a blast making this one, I also used the In Stitches Alphabet Dies to cut out the Eighty Six.

But I did love this set so much that I had to colour up the entire thing with my copic markers!

Balloon Besties

Hey friends! Today I am playing with a newer release stamp set from MFT Stamps called Balloon Besties! I really love all the balloon images they have been putting out!

I stamped out the little character on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, and coloured it up with my copic markers!

Once the copics were finished I went in with my coloured pencils to add some details and textures to the image! I finally recorded one of these for you!

Space Explorer

Hey friends! I have been having so much fun finding things in my stash as I move craft rooms!

So for this card, I pulled out a set from MFT that I have had for a long time and my Caran D’ache Neocolor ii’s to create this fun galaxy style card!

I really am happy with how this one came out, I am sure I could have blended the galaxy more but all in all this one came out awesome!

Sunny Vibes

Hey friends! Today I again was playing with my Kraft paper, Copics and Coloured Pencils. It has been my jam the last few days. They take me about 3 mornings of colouring before work!

So I masked out the little van and put the tree in behind it. After that stamping the sun to the right side of the paper. All using Ink on 3 No Lines ink. I really like it on the kraft paper for this look.

I do really love the white highlight I added between the images and the blue sky.

Magical Dragons

Hey friends! Today I pulled out the Magical Dragons set from MFT and my copics and coloured pencils on some kraft paper.

I stamped it out with come really light ink for the no lines look. Then added in the background and detail in the dragon with my coloured pencils. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep track of all the coloured I used, cuz it was just some late night colouring for 100% fun!

I added the cloud in the background with a stencil then added the colour after. A few small enamel dots with a small sentiment finished off this sweet little card!

Let’s Curl Up

Hey friends! Today I pulled out the Let’s Curl Up set from MFT Stamps and decided to remake, with a video and a different medium so I guess not remake but yeah.

So I got the honour of guesting for MFT for their December 2020 release and I fell head over heels for this fox set. I watercoloured one of them up for one of my release projects. Now I decided I had to colour up another one, this time I pulled out my Karin BrushMarkers to colour it!

I really love how these simple little cards come together, they have been a blast to make! And this fox set is so perfect and dreamy for it. Now that I am writing this post I also wanna make a blue fox… maybe there will be another card from this set lol.

My Favorite Things December 2020 Release

Hey friends! I am so thilled to be participating in the My Favorite Things December 2020 release! Are you ready for a slew of NEW things that will be wonderful in your collection!

Starting off with my first project was the stamp set that jumped out at me first! The foxes from the Let’s Curl Up stamp set.

This cute little guy just had to meet some of my watercolours! I also used some of the greenery, bending it so I can use it on both sides. Mounting the watercolor pannel on some Tangy orange cardstock really finished this one off! I also stamped the sentiment is the same ink as the image then painted over top of it with watercolor so that it matched the same look as the rest of the card.

For my second project to share with you all today, I pulled out my markers and some distress Oxides and had a real good time! It even lead to me recording a video!

TheSweet Safari stamp and die set just screamed make a bright fun card! So I obliged!

Always Bring a Smile

Hey everyone! I know I have not been around much, I have been dealing with a 2 1/2 month long allergic reaction, that lead to my eyes being swollen shut for what seemed like forever! Covid has my Doctor not seeing patients and blah blah blah I will survive and get off my soap box now!

So for today’s post, I have been collecting (and by collecting I mean not using cuz they intimidate me) all the sets by Stacey Yacula for My Favorite things. Well this weekend that changed. I pulled out my watercolours and the Always Bring a Smile set and went to town.

I painted up these sweet little scene with my Mexico Palette. It really is my most used one, even almost an entire year later.
