ARF Pirate 1

Hey everyone, when I was in the studio yesterday making cards, I was digging through my pile of coloured images that hadn’t yet been put onto a card and ran into this gem. He jumped out at me because the other day I ran accross the pirate paper scraps in my scrap paper drawers (yes I am still on the try and use up some of my paper kick) and I think they were a perfect match. The image is Pirate Adventure from A Random Fan, and was coloured up with copic markers.

ARF Pirate 2

Unfortunately because of how long ago I coloured this it was before I was keeping track of all of my colours. And if you look at my other work you can see how far my colouring has come, even from this, BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t love this little image and he still deserved to be on a card. Remember, the more you colour the better you get!

Smooth Move

Smooth Move 1.jpg

Hey everyone! I live in bitterly cold Saskatchewan, Canada and my son is 5 and still learning how to skate, he spends plenty of time looking like this snowman does so I just had to colour it up! The image is Smooth Move from Sassy Cheryl Stamps, and is painted on Arches 140lbs Coldpress watercolour paper with my inktense pencils.

Smooth Move close up.jpg

Unfortunately I did not write down what colours I use to paint this image.

Smooth Move 2.jpg

I used some of my older Authentique paper’s and the polkadot paper is out of my scrap bin, and a bit of twinery twine finished off the front of this card.  Still on this use up some of what I have in my stash so I can buy more stuffs!

Hey everyone! Today have this little sweetie to share with you all, she is from Mo’s Digital Pencil – Fabulous. As per usual, at this time of the year, I am trying to use up a bunch of the stuff that I have in my stash as all the new stuff for this year is being seen at CHA. Ahh new papers!

Mo's fabulous CLOSE UP

I coloured this image up with my copic markers, unfortunately I didn’t keep track of my colours when I did this image but she turned out ever so awesome!

KKS sketch Jan 2016

I used the Sketch to create my card, just changed it to square. looking back at it now I guess I should have had another patterned paper layer on top instead of just the image. I may have to tackle this sketch again this month.

A Bit Smart Assy Muffin

KKS SMART ASSY 1.jpg

Hey everyone! Today I have another fun card using Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps A Bit Smart Assy (this is a rubber set so once it is sold out it will no longer be available so you should get it now!) . I coloured her up using my copic markers and enhanced it with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. There is a video below of me colouring this image.

KKS SMART ASSY 2.jpg

If you are a fan of Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps you have seen Becky Pearce, her colouring is simply amazes me, I have always wanted to be able to colour like her and lift bits and pieces of the way she colours. I figured well why not give it a shot… so here it is its not right, but it is not bad for a first attempt! If you have not seen her work you should really go check out her blog.

Rudy

Reindeer 1

Hey everyone! I am back with my last Christmas card for this year! The current challenge over on the Polkadoodles challenge blog  is Anything Goes. So for this card I reached for the Work & Play 5 Hollybobs Collection. In this collection you will find some extra digital images aside from the main characters and that is where I found Rudy, this gem of a reindeer! You will also find all of the patterned paper I used on this card in that collection as well! It really is a fantastic holiday collection.

Reindeer close up

The image was printed out onto kraft coloured cardstock and coloured with my Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils. I didn’t write down the colours I used as this was one of the first images I coloured up with them and I wasn’t entirely sure that it would turn out (that will teach me to always write them down!)

Reindeer 2

I used two of the lovely patterned papers from this collection and layered them on kraft and white cardstock. I had this wood veneer in my stash (probably came from Micheals) and painted it white then cut my image down to fit inside of it. The twine and lace are also from my stash.

Wistful

Whistful

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another challenge over at Polkadoodles, the new challenge is white plus one other colour. The other colour I chose to go with was brown.

I printed off Octavia Moonfly Whistful stamp on kraft cardstock and coloured her up with my Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. I did, however use ever single brown shade pencil in the 120 count set. I then matted her on white card and dark brown card. then I used one piece of patterned paper from the Violin Theme Paper , and then 4 wood dots finish off this card.

How much lace can one use on a card? Lots! lol I am fairly happy with this card I tend not to do centered cards because then the flowers feel like they have to be balanced for me. But all in all I am happy with this card and its soft colour and lots of lace!
