Tilda with Millie the Mouse

Tilda with mouse 1

Hey everyone. Today I am back again, with another shabby card for you all, I have been really in a mood to make these cards lately. For this card I used Magnolia Tilda with Millie the Mouse, and painted her up with my Derwent Inktense Pencils.

Continuing on with my use up the paper thing for this year, I used Prima’s Lyric paper, the shaped pieces come from dies (We R Memory Keepers circle dies) and the other shape in the background was cut with my cameo. The film strip was cut with a Greeting Farm die, lace from my stash, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, and berries from the dollar store finish off the front of this card.

Wheee 1

Hey everyone! This image was so much fun to colour! When I saw this set released from Kraftin’ Kimmie I really just had to have it. Probably because I always loved tire swings growing up.

Wheeeee 2

I coloured this image with my copics, and used a sentiment from the same stamp set. A few layers of paper, some ribbon, twine, and enamel dots finish off this fun happy card.

So Lovely

So Lovely 1a

Hey everyone! Back again with a fun square card I made recently. This image from Saturated Canary was coloured with my Prisma Colour Pencils.

So Lovely 2a

I love all the layers on this card, even though it is rather simple when it comes to product used, one paper pad, a couple die cuts, and the sentiment is from a chipboard sheet I have in my stash. The white card stock behind all the pattern papers help break them up and not look to busy layered on top of each other.

So Lovely 3a

Products Used:

Saturated Canary – Waiting for Spring (digi stamp)

We R Memory Keepers – Love Notes – 6×6 Pad

EK Success – Mini Pennant Punch set

My Minds Eye – Jubilee – Wild Berry – Die cuts

Non Traditional colours- DarcieGlam

1-P1030357-001

A big hug and thank you to Jess for asking me to participate in the Christmas Card Challenge! I decided to go with a retro theme (go figure) and use non-traditional colors. I designed and made the tree using the basic shapes in Open Office Impress, a free program, and made the inside pieces too. Then I printed them in black and scanned the page into my Brother Scan N Cut. The shapes were cut out of pink card stock.

I found the perfect paper in my stash from an old GSD line and a coordinating paper from WeR Memory Keepers. I didn’t expect to use classic paper lines but the colors were so great!
The white background is Wendy Vecchi embossing paste through a Claudine Hellmuth stencil. After placing the tree on top, I embellished with bling and it was done.
1-P1030359-001
For the inside of the card, I placed two coordinating strips of paper on each end and added my cut shapes. I placed paper circle accents on top and a gemstone in the star. The sentiment was printed on my computer. I don’t usually have the patience to cut and line up letters!

Hope you enjoy my card and are having a great time seeing all the wonderful creations Jess is assembling. Happy Cardmaking! XX DarcieGlam

Hey everyone, did you see yesterday guest post.. if you didn’t you should really go back and look at it! Today I am back and this card could be a cop out… lol. But I really like it anyway. I used some paper out of my scrap bin and stuck it through my cameo to cut square mats (What can I say my creativity was a no show this day cut me a break. Then when I didnt like the square edges I rounded them with my 1/2″ corner chomeer from We R Memory Keepers.

I used my Tim Holts Distress Paint in Picket Fence to white wash the Scraptastic woodveneers. The sentiment is stamped in Archival ink the colour is Potting Soil, and the Sentiment is from my trusty Hero Arts Christmas stamp. I finished it all off with some of my May Arts Natural jute twine.
