World of Wonder

Hey everyone! Today I have a card for you featuring Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

KKS 1.jpg

I coloured up this image from the World of Wonder set, unfortunately I believe this set is now retired as it was in rubber and Kimmie is now making fantastic clear stamps! You may be able to find it at some retailers, but I am not sure. I coloured this image a while ago and do not have the book that the copic’s used would have been.

kks-2

I still am on that use it up kick and this is an older collection from Simple Stories, the button comes from the dollarama here in Canada, and the string I believe I picked up at Peavee Mart one day while buying a Gas Can (do not judge I could not leave that colour behind)! I used the Nuvo Crystal drops in Gloss White, and Carnation Pink to add the dots on the card and finish it off.

I would like to enter this card into the Weekly Saturday challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

World of Wonder

KKS World of Wonder 1.jpg

Hey everyone! Today I have a magnificent card to share with you all (did you see what I did there, did ya, did ya? haha) I have used World of Wonder from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. Also don’t forget that Kim has discontinued her rubber stamps, as her manufacturer is no longer making any so if you want this or any other of her rubber stamps you better get them before they are gone! On a plus note her image are now being made in clear photo polymer!

If you don’t follow me on instagram, you should, I have been participating in the 30 day colouring challenge from Kathy Rac over at the Daily Marker, and this is Day 4!

Hey everyone! Back with my 3rd post of the day, but that is only because Betty posted a contest on the SImply B Stamps Fan Group to show a picture of your desk and make a project and finish it for noon tomorrow. Well I am done early WOOT!

I used one of Betty’s Fundraising Digi’s for this card. You can still purchase this telephone girl in the Facebook group, but if you want her I would get her before she is gone! I coloured her up with my Copic makers.

Layered patterned paper, ribbon, flowers, and enamel dots finish off the front of this card.

Best Family Ever

Best Family Ever 1

Hey everyone, I am usually a one or two photo’s on a page type person, I just seem to find more photos difficult to work with. So this layout has EIGHT, that’s right count them!

These photo’s are from back in August of 2014, my sister got married and everyone came up for the wedding, my parents rented a suit in a hotel across the street from the venue and we all hung out in there having a couple of beverages before the wedding.

Best Family Ever 2

I used the labels to list the people in order in the photo (you never know who may look at these and not remember everyone by their appearance at that time, or if I will always remember. Also I find I enjoy having names listed when there are many people in a photo.)

Best Family Ever 3

So on the bottom of the layout I used smaller photo’s to have closer looks at some of the people that were there, as well as all the children that were there.

Let’s Bake

Cookies

Hey everyone! Christmas is so close, and I am almost ready!! One of the last things I do to prepare is a bunch of baking and this past weekend that included a crazy amount of cookie baking (I think its my sons favorite activity). So here I am scrapbooking a few instagram pictures of the cookies we made on the weekend.

Cookies 2

I am a subscriber to the Hip Kit Club scrapbooking kit, and on the member forum on facebook, Kimberly gave us a weekend challenge and this is the layout I did for the challenge. The recipe that needed to be used for the challenge was using an image she posted as inspiration for the layout (that is where my stenciled backround came in to play), include a minimum of three fonts in your title, use stamping on your project (this is difficult to see on my layout but on the bright green paper I stamped falling snow in versamark and embossed it in silver), include gold or silver, and use a minimum of three patterned papers.

Cookies 3

It was a challenge for me to make sure I had everything included that is for sure! I rarely follow a recipe or sketch for my layouts, but it was fun to play along!

Make a wish

DSC_0281

Hey everyone! Happy monday! I made a fun little shaker card here, and I must say that shaker cards have been really popular, which makes sense considering how popular sequins have become.

DSC_0282

The images (actually, all the stamps used) are from Lawn Fawn’s Critter Ever After stamp set and I coloured them with my Copic markers. I created my shaker card using a piece of Canson 140lbs Watercolour paper that I coloured using my Peerless watercolours that I recently recieved (they are heavenly but I will leave that for another post). then adheared the castle the 3 yellow stars and stamped some small stars right on the watercolour paper, then put foam sqares around the outside, filled with sequins from Neat and Tangled and 3 buttons,  and stuck of piece of acetate cut to the same size on the top (I believe the acetate is from spellbinders packaging). Then wrapped some pink Washi Tape around the outside to hide the ugliness that is the foam squares.

DSC_0283

So this got adhered to some cloud paper (its an Amy Tan design but I am not sure what collection) that was cut down from 12×12, and the grey woodgrain paper I believe is from Simple Stories DIY Boutique paper pad in 6×6.

Hugz.

Finished the card.

DSC_0271

Last weekend I posted a picture of a fun little image I had coloured while visiting some family, and this week I finally got the card finished!!

DSC_0273

So I took the image, cut it down to the size I wanted, I die cut the poppy stamps grass die and the Papertrey Ink cloud dies out of some Copic Mask it paper and created the backround by latering the masks and using distress ink.

DSC_0275

Of course, in my typical fashion, a little twine and my own melted perler bead “enamel dots” and she is finished.

Copic X-press it Blending card

Twine from Americian Crafts

Little Sprout

Its not very often I make a card with a lot of patterned paper lately, never mind with only patterned paper. I am talking no stamping what so ever, nothing else aside from a small bit of ribbon and adding some ink around the edges.

DSC_0197

*Insert random vent* Lighting is horrible today with rain and all that, and no matter what I do I can not get a good photo of this card so I apologize for that.

I pulled out a paper pad from 2011 that I have loved forever, and may possible be hoarding.
