No pink… or blue?!?!

KKS no pink or blue

Oh boy, this was a tough one. Fridays challenge for Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps was a birthday card with no pink or blue! I really didn’t think this challenge would be as hard as it was. I coloured up the Alice in Wonderland stamp, with my copics… then realized she wears blue. No problem I made her dress purple and her hair a darker brown instead of blond.

I then went to my crafting table to realize, I really had no purple paper that worked well with the image. Okay so what other colour can I use… something out of the books perhaps. Red! Yes that’s it. Then realized I have no red flowers, haha, but lots of paper laters and a bit of burlap and I am pretty happy with this card.

Hey everyone! Back again (go me! lol) with another card. I used a Sherri Baldy My Besties Digi Img381, and coloured her up with my copics (there is a speed colouring video on the previous blog post). There is a process video of this card at the bottom of this post.

Canary Pitcher

Canary ball 1

Hey everyone! Back again with this lovely Pitcher image from Saturated Canary, she comes in a digital file and is only available in a 5 stamp pack you can find it here.  Her cheeks kinda got away from me on this image (my marker got sticky and I didn’t notice till it was too late.) But over all I am happy with her.

Canary ball 2

I die cut my image into a circle and layered it on a Maya Road wood doily as well as a fabric doily. The layered papers in the backround are from a Prima Fairy Rhymes 6×6 paper pad. The flowers are from Prima and Petaloo, the lace is from my stash.

Batter Bestie

Baseball Bestie 1

Hey everyone! Today’s card is a Sherri Baldy My Bestie Digital stamp (IMG309). I have been loving lots of layers again lately, I got away from it for a while and was doing very clean and simple cards and its lovely to be back into more layered loo. Don’t worry for all you clean and simple cardmakers that may read my blog I have a plan to do some of them again soon as well.

Baseball Besties 2

I have used papers from Maja Designs and well and Poin on this card (all products will of course be listed below). The My Besties images have honestly always intimidated me, and I never seem finish them, well now I can’t wait to start colouring the next one.

The Paper Shelter Birthday

TPS Bday

Hey everyone! I was reading Papercraft inspirations magazine (Feb, 2015) the other day and in it I found Jan’s blog, she makes such wonderful projects. Then continuing on with my discoveries it lead me to The Paper Shelter, going through a bunch of their images and things I fell in love! So I bought a couple, then carried on to their blog where I found out they are having a DT call. So I figured with my new found joy with this companies digi stamps, I would throw my hat in the ring.

TPS Bday

I printed Acrobat Little Doll on copic x-press it blending card, and coloured her up with my copics. I then layed some old prima paper behind with lace, doilies, and cheese cloth. I embellished the card with Prima, and Wild Orchid crafts flowers and used a simple happy birthday sentiment.

I would like to use this card for The Paper Shelter DT call, as well as The Paper Shelter Challenge #194 Girly

Unicorn

Unicorn 1

Hey everyone. Isn’t that just a lovely unicorn? Kit and Clowder is having another challenge on the facebook group because they now have a partnership with Flying Unicorn store. And I just happened to have that lovely image from Polkadoodles (link will be at the bottom). So I figured it was just a perfect fit.

Unicorn 2

I coloured this image with my copics, and just left it floating in the white space, just seemed to fit being a unicorn and all.

The patterned papers are from my scraps. the clitter paper for the layers and the doily punched paper is POW silver glitter paper. Pearls, ribbon, and lace is all from my stash. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Dream Big

Dream Big 1

Hey everyone. This sweet little card is very simple, using the Dream Big set from Kraftin Kimmie stamps. I coloured it up with my copic markers.

Dream Big 2

I kept this card very simple, layered patterned paper, and some foam flowers. I like the simplicity of this card, even though when I started it I thought it was going to be a very busy card. Sometimes things don’t turn out the way you first envisioned them. I inked the edges of all my papers with Black Soot Distress ink to unify them all.

Wheee 1

Hey everyone! This image was so much fun to colour! When I saw this set released from Kraftin’ Kimmie I really just had to have it. Probably because I always loved tire swings growing up.

Wheeeee 2

I coloured this image with my copics, and used a sentiment from the same stamp set. A few layers of paper, some ribbon, twine, and enamel dots finish off this fun happy card.
