A Little Wink

Sherri Baldy Img381 1

Hey everyone! Back again (go me! lol) with another card. I used a Sherri Baldy My Besties Digi Img381, and coloured her up with my copics (there is a speed colouring video on the previous blog post). There is a process video of this card at the bottom of this post.

I am really happy with the outcome of this card, the soft colours in the background really lets the image pop off the card.

Just a simple Christmas.

Hey everyone! Jess here again, have you been looking at the cards for the past few days! It is astounding how talented these wonderful people are.

So while I was planning out my cards for this series, I decided that not everything that you cut on your machine has to be a detailed cut, sometimes you can cut something as simple as the bottom piece for this card, just a simple half circle cut at the bottom. Honestly, unless you are cutting chipboard, or something of that nature, you can do all of your die cutting with an electronic die cutter.

So this card is rather simple, on top of the piece I cut on the cameo, I attached a green polka dot strip, and then took a piece of white cardstock that I punched with a Martha Stewart punch (sorry the name of the punch escapes me at the moment). Then I tied some chocolate brown bakers twine around that.

Then I stamped the Season’s Greeting sentiment from my go to Hero Art’s stamp set, matted that on patterned paper then added a white banner behind it, added some faux stitching around the bottom panel and put it all on a standard size, top folding card base.

That’s it for today’s card.

Graphic 45 Birthday card

DSC_0066

So a while ago I was thinking about how I have been been making so many cards lately, but yet I have used virtually no patterned paper. If you know me at all through twitter, or when I use to do Ustream shows, you would know that I have a ridiculous amount of patterned paper. So I went digging and pulled out some of my old patterned paper, this is a graphic 45 8×8 pad, I can’t remember off hand what collectons I used, but if you really want to know I will dig around and find out for you.

DSC_0067I did a bunch of different layers of paper on here, I used the small banner punch for the banner along the top, the lace punch along the bottom is a Martha Stewart punch.

Making this card, reminded me why I love patterned paper, the simplicity of using nothing but patterned paper and a simple Happy Birthday stamp set. I guess that means I need to keep making more cards and try and get through some of the paper I have, that should only take me 5-10 years haha!
