Party Like a Panda

Hey friends! Today I have a fun card and video, creating my own background with watercolours and some copic colouring!

It was great fun creating the pastel rainbow background, then keeping the bright colours for the panda and his little balloons!

Come on, I just can not get over these cute little pandas! I have used this set a few times and just love it every time! The sentiments in this set are also super wonderful!

You can watch my video to check out my entire process!

March Farm Fresh Challenge

Hey everyone! It’s a brand new month and that means a new Farm Fresh Challenge over the The Greeting Farm!

This month the challenge is Mixed Media! Now you can go all out and make a lovely canvas, keep it simple and do a one layer card with copic colouring and a distress ink background! It doesn’t have to be elaborate or super simple to be called mixed media, it just has to have more then one medium on the project.

TGF Mixed media.jpg

I landed somewhere in the middle, my image, Blush Bebe was coloured with my standard Copic markers, I then edged all of my papers in distress ink before roughing them up a little. The chipboard was painted with Gouache that I tinted with some pigment powders. after putting on the flowers and getting the card all set together some molding paste really finished it off!

I hope you are willing to step outside of your comfort zone, or play within your favorite style with us on this months challenge!

Feb. Farm Fresh Challenge – 3D

farmfreshchallenge

Hey all! It’s Feb 1, that means its time to start a new Farm Fresh Challenge on The Greeting Farm Blog!

The challenge for this month is 3D, and this is so out of my comfort zone!!! But I did come up with something for you all!

TGF - Carnival wm.jpg

I coloured up SSSC no. 25 – Carnival  with my copic markers a while ago, and thought this was the perfect little project for it!

I broke out my Cameo and cut a square pillow box and all the pattern paper layers with the file, once it was all cut out I inked up all the pattern papers and then glued them onto the pillowbox, adding my image, some chipboard and wild orchid craft flowers and this little box was done!

I can’t want to see what you create this month!

Noor Blog hop card 1
My card today is filled with tons of things from Noor! Design, I used a magnolia stamp from my stash and painted it on Arches 140lbs coldpress watercolour paper with Derwent Inktense pencils.
Noor Blog hop card 2
The easel card base is made using Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art Square, ontop of that I used the Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art Label Romantique I did cut that in half to change the patterned paper using LDRS Creative Basics Borders Die Set (even though you cant see it in the finished card, its okay to do something and end up covering it up you can always use it again on the next card), I layered a die cut from the LDRS Creative Basics Background Builders Die 1. I layered the LDRS Guilded Doily die on the front of the card, and the LDRS Guilded Oval Die Set (just the small filigree piece cut twice) under the pearls for the stopper for the easel.

There are some hidden prizes along the way so please be sure to stop by everyone on the hop and leave a comment.  The hop will run for one week and then the winners announced on the Noor Design UK Blog and Passionate Paper Creations blog on 22nd April.
