Adore You

Hey everyone, I have recently picked up a new set of watercolours, the Altenew 36 pan set (all links at the bottom of blog post). I am currently testing and getting to know them, and will do a video in the next week or so about my opinion.

Anyway, this is my first card made with those paints.

I stamped and embossed the flowers, then painted them up with a bunch of the pinks and greens in the watercolor set.

I then cut them out, adding a splash of watercolour to a background panel. I built up all the floral’s to create this sweet little thank you card .

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – New Release hop

WOOHOO!
Today we are celebrating all the
new goodies from our
MARCH Release at
Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

All THREE new clear stamp sets are NOW available over at the Krafty Shop, along with our new Sparkling Sapphire inks, TWO new stencils and our new Springy Krafty Dots!

My son loves to read. I probably make him a new little bookmark every month. This is what I do for him lately, I take the image he has chosen and colour just a part of it. Then he uses it to doodle on, to take notes about the book, the things he wants to tell me on.

He loves the Llama’s so I coloured up the blanket on him and the ropes on his neck, the rest I have left for Caleb to do.

The Greeting Farm – March Preview Day 2

Hey everyone! Welcome back to day 2 of the March previews for The Greeting Farm! Today, we have another crowd favorite, a big Anya!

I coloured her up with my copic markers, and we all know I love to put them on simple splashy watercolour backgrounds. If I am being honest, part of why this one is on one, is that I did April’s release thinking they were Marches images so I am a little behind! Lol, it happens to all of us.

Peony Bouquet

Hey everyone! Today I am back with a super soft and pretty floral card! I love my watercolours, and one of my favorite things to do with them is paint some florals.

I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Peony Bouquet in Tea Dye Distress Ink. Then painted them up with my watercolours.

I am not going to pretend like this was a fast process, lots of layers glazed over eachother to create the colours you see here. I love doing that it gives suck depth of colour, and interest to the focal piece.

It’s Mice Time to Celebrate

Hey everyone! Today I am again playing along with My Favorite Things Card Challenges.

I pulled out the new It’s Mice Time to Celebrate set for this fun card. Hand drawing the balloon I stamped the mouse in Tea Dye Distress Ink. Then pulled out my Stoneground Paints and created a fun little scene into the balloon.

This sketch was super fun! I would have never thought of painting a simple little scene in a balloon without it. I can’t wait for the next one!

Bouquet of Thanks

Hey everyone! Today I have a card I shared on Instagram during the 30 day coloring challenge. But now I have edited the video and am going to share it here with you all on my blog.

Simon Says Stamp - Bouquet of thanks - Jessie Banks 3

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp Bouquet of Thanks for this fun little card. I really love how the white heat embossing makes the flowers pop in a softer way the the black stamped lines. All links to supplies will be at the bottom of this post.

I have a complete process video of this one for you!

Bouquet of Thanks

Hey all! I am still playing along with the 30 coloring challenge. I had a super busy day, and almost forgot to put this one up!

I used the Bouquet of Thanks stamp from Simon Says again. For a completely different look then the first time I used it! You can find all links at the bottom of this post.

I stamped and embossed the image, then got to playing with watercolours. Love of water and just dropping the pigment in and letting it do its magic! It was a super fun and simple card to put together!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – Preview Day 3

Welcome back to our THIRD and final day
of Krafty Peeks for the February release
at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!

Today we’ve got a delicious new stamp set from artist Melissa Baker-Nguyen! It’s quirky and fun and so yummy!!
This set is called DONUT WORRY!

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps - Donut Worry - Jessie Banks

Okay, I have decided it is time to try some new things, so I am starting with a little art journaling. This is my very first attemp, so take it easy on me lol!

I layered and stamped all the donuts around the outside, then used two of the sentiment from the set to start the journaling part. My lettering definitely is not perfect and needs lots of work, but the message is true and I will try again!

Hop around the blogs below to see DONUT WORRY in action and check out the amazing samples from our incredible Krafty Team and Guests! Be sure to leave some love at each stop because I’m giving away some $$ to the krafty shop!

See you back here tomorrow!
Happy hoppin’!

Unicorns

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend, we had cold weather, the power went out, we got a bunch of snow. All in all, a regular day in a Saskatchewan winter!

Okay back on track, I am playing along with Kathy Racoosin and her 30 Day Colouring Challenge! If you would like to see what I make for the days that do not hit my blog make sure to check out my Instagram!

C.C. Designs - Unicorns - Jessie Banks.jpg

I had so much fun working on this one, the unicorns and sentiment come from C.C. Designs (links to everything will be at the bottom the post). I free handed in the tree and the bush to finish off this fun little scene.

After everything was all stamped and drawn in I pulled out a bunch of my watercolours and painted this up, I didn’t make a list of the colours used for this, I do apologize for that and I now have a little notebook to keep track of that.

You’re Spectacular

Hey all! I have a soft and dreamy post featuring The Greeting Farm to share with you all today.

the greeting farm - spectacular - jessie banks

I coloured up You’re Spectacular with my copic markers. Adding it to a splashy watercolour background that matches the pink on her dress, kept this card super simple. I usually love adding sentiments to the front, but this time I chose to write a fun personal message inside for a friend.

Thanks for stopping by,
hugs,
Jessie
