Hey everyone! I have a new release from Power Poppy for you all today! Today we are showcasing the new Graceful Still Life.
I blew the image up and rotated it in order to just paint up the dogwood branches, and Marcella is so sweet she added the Dogwood branches on her own for you!

I have also recorded a video of this sweet card for you all! I used my Schmicke and my Daniel Smith watercolours to paint it up. I have a video for you all as well!

It’s that time of the month again!!! C.C. Designs Previews are coming your way, and as always this release will not disappoint!

I have been on a crazy watercolour kick lately and I thought since the darling Cinnamon was painting a rainbow I should paint her.
I used my Schmincke, Daniel Smith and Golden Qor watercolours to paint up Cinnamon Paints, I added a sentiment from the Lucky Rainbow Sentiment set, added the pannel to a card base and there she is!

Hey all! I am back today with a new special release Digital Stamp for Power Poppy!

I love this image, Marcella created this one for Rhea’s 50th birthday! It is so lovely! You can grab Orchid Dreams Digital Image here.

I painted this one up with watercolour using both my Schmicke set as well as a couple Daniel Smith paints. I don’t keep track of the paints I use as they are always mixed together and different colours layered on top of eachother. But I do take my time and add lots of layers.
There are some other examples using this image from the wonderful Design Team!

Hey everyone, today I have a watercoloured card using Power Poppy’s Chicadee in Barberry Digital Stamp. I painted it on Fabriano Artistico 140lbs Hotpress Watercolour paper with my Schmicke watercolours.

I really enjoyed the ease of painting this image, it created a card so easy with just the painting and popping it up onto a card base. Marcella’s art is so fantastic!

I ruffed up the edges of the watercolour paper and called it a card. I really am going to have to paint this one again.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been around I was crazy ill and am just no starting to feel normal again. On top of it all I dropped my mic that I use for voice overs and can not record any of those till I can pick up a new one.
What that means is I have finally filmed a swatching and light review of my 48 half pan set of Schmincke Watercolours. These are expensive paints they sell for $327 USD at Dick Blicks online store.
I researched and saved my pennies for almost two years in order to pick these up, stamps and things had to be purchased too so it took me a while, and when I had the money there were a few reasons why I picked these. Schmicke watercolours have been around since 1881 that is well over 100 years, and are still owned by the Schmicke and Horadam families. There are 110 colours in the professional series of paints, 69 of them are single pigment colours, they are all available as half pans, full pans, 5ml tubes, and 15ml tubes.
Schmincke is the only watercolour manufacturer that uses the same formula in their tubes and pans (most other companies extrude their paints for their pans), they pour their paint into the pan in small incraments, it takes 3-4 pours in order to fill the pan, allowing it to dry in between pours. This means it takes quite along time (3 to 5 months) in order to make a single pan of colour but the paint is consistent with the tubes all the time.

I will have more light reviews coming up in the near future, I do have some Daniel Smith Colours and am slowly building that collection. For a person who is just doing cardmaking this is not a necessity to have by any means, but I do LOVE it and use it all the time.

Hey everyone! Today I have a design team project for Quick Creations! Today I have painted up Italian Speedy Tilda with my Schmincke Horadam Watercolours. There is a video over on my youtube channel.

I used a few pieces of Prima Marketing Tales of you & me patterned paper and some kraft card stock. A bunch of ribbon, lace and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers finish off this card.

You can purchase this card here.

Hey everyone! Today I have a soft and pretty card to share with you all. I have been using my Schminke watercolours now for a few months and absolutely LOVE them! I will have a youtube video coming up on them very shortly. But when I first got them this, Magnolia Tilda Hear No Evil, was one of the very first images I painted with them and it finally got on a card!

I do not have a list of the colours I used as I mix all of my watercolours and do not use them straight from the pan very often unfortunately, but, like I said above I will have a youtube video coming up and that will let you see more detail about how I choose what colours to mix together.
I used up a bunch of scraps of paper, a couple flowers from my stash some ribbon and lace and a doily, a little bit of cheese cloth tucked in here and there finished it off.

P.S. Canada Post may be going on strike on July 2nd and the Etsy store has been put into vacation mode while that all gets figured out, this card will be listed there as soon as they have it all sorted out.
