Bunny Christmas

DSC_0107

Good morning everyone! Did you check out Annette’s card yesterday! I really loves the traditional colours she used! If you didn’t you should go back and check out her post!

So confession time, I went to put today’s card up this morning, because yesterday got away from me. Attempted to pull the photo’s off of the memory card, and well the card is fouled and I can not get anything off of it. Would normally not be a big deal, but I live 20 minutes out of the city, and nothing is open at 6:30 am on a statutory holiday where I can purchase a card. So today and tomorrows card, unfortunately will not be using my cameo. They are cards I had photographed and already pulled off for a couple posts in November. Plus note, you get to see them now!

So this card was made using the Lawn Fawn Snow Day Stamps and Dies, as well as the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree Stamps and dies. I stamped the two bunnies that face eachother and coloured them with my copics W00, w01, w03, w05,w07, R22, and R20. I also stamped a row of lights and the bell from the Trim the tree set and coloured them with Y11, Y13, and Y15, Using the coordinating dies I cut them all out.

I then cut a piece of Neenah white with the row of trees in the Snow Day set and pieced it back together creating a back panel for my bunnies to rest on.  The sentiment is stamped with Versa Fine Onyx Black ink and then a piece of May arts Twine is tied in a bow underneath it. All the patterened paper is scraps from my scrap bin, I know the triangle paper is from Simon Says Stamps christmas card kit last year (I can not remember who the manufacturer was) and the other paper I do not even have a guess but its just a simple grey paper with a white dot pattern.

Christmas music..

Hey everyone, I cant believe we are already on day 8 of the Christmas card marathon here on my blog! If you didn’t see Lori’s card yesterday you should go back and check it out, it was lovely.

So here is the card I have for you today, seriously not my favorite, but they can’t all be something I love. So for today’s card I stamped the Tim Holtz season’s greetings sentiment and embossed it with Hero Arts gold embossing powder. The I took the trees from an older Tim Holtz set and stamped them with Prima white chalk ink, and it got stuck on the embossing, and I couldn’t get it off without making a mess so I just left it alone, The snowflakes are from the Hero Arts Christmas sentiment set I use all the time.

The Music notes, were a copy write free image I found online, that I put into my Silhouette software and traced (creating a cut file from it) and cut it on cardstock 3 times and layered them together, I then put 2 coats of Hero Arts gold embossing powder, then adhered it overtop of the card.

The patterned paper that the black paper is matted with is from the DIY Shop paper pad (it was a scrap from a while ago)

Wow, we are on day 6 already! Haven’t the guest posts been amazing! It is so much fun, and so inspirational to see other people’s work, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am! Today I kept things rather clean and simple. The deer is from the silhouette studio, the file is called Christmas Demask (design id #34432), I cut and layered 2 of these together and then embossed them with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder a couple of times. Then I tied a piece of pay arts natural jute twine around his throat in a pretty bow.

The card base is Neenah Desert Storm cardstock, I then layered a piece of Birch woodveneer paper (That I got from SSS) a gold colour striped paper (no idea what paper line that is from) and then glitter paper from colorbok. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts clear set, and I layered that on another gold embossed layer.

October full of Christmas…

Hey everyone, welcome to the month of October, this month is all about Christmas on my blog. Not only Christmas but out electronic die cutters as well. I know many of us that have these machines in our stash, some of us use them faithfully. Others, like myself, don’t use them nearly enough. So myself, with the help of some of my friends, hope to inspire you to get those Christmas cards made, and those machines uncovered, dusted and let them cut like crazy for you.

Here we go, I personally use a Silhouette Cameo, so all the cut files for my first card this month come directly from the silhouette store. I started with the circle card file cutting it in white, I then found a pretty layered snowflake and cut that so it just slightly over hung on the card base. Continuing working that machine hard I found a fun little ornament to use, and a pretty bow to top the ornament off. the banner is a layered banner where I stamped a very simple merry christmas sentiment that is from a Hero arts set ( CL343).

As much as this card looks full and layered it really did come together quickly, no inking, minimal stamping, just later all the pieces togehter and adhere them to the card.
