The Greeting Farm – New Release Blog Hop

It’s the 15th, and the JULY Release is now available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store. We are so excited to introduce 4 new stamps this month! Our first set, called TAKE A HIKE features the cutest couple ready to go on summer adventures. Our 2nd set called MISS ANYA SAMOYED features some fabulous big Anyas and an adorable Samoyed dog. Next, we have SLUMBER PARTY with 3 girls all ready for their sleepover. And lastly, we have a new sentiment set called THIS DAY perfect for those planner and calendar pages.

I coloured this one up with my copic markers, including the pink stripe. It definitely did not blend as easy as my watercolours do. But it was fun to try!

I recently picket up a small set of Caran D’ache Luminance coloured pencils, 20 of them. I love them and need more. But for now I am mixing them with my Faber-Casel Polychromos pencils.

The Greeting Farm – July 2019 Preview Day 1

Hey everyone! Welcome to previews for the July 2019 release! We are kicking things off with Take A Hike!

I coloured these two little cuties up with my copic markers, then fussy cut them out. I really love how adorable this set it!

I have a pile of alcohol inks kicking around, and a bunch of yupo. But I don’t use them, well I have been on this mission to use all these things I have. DO I used some blues, and the blending solution to create this fun water looking background for these little ones in their canoe.

Friends with Fins

Hey everyone! Today I have a sweet little fish card. Using some My Favorite things products!

I pulled out my Schminke watercolours and painted up all the fish in the Friends with Fins stamp set. I stamped them out with Distress Ink Antique Linen. Then I fussy cut them all out once they were painted.

The background started with a blend from light to dark blues. Adding the white rays over the top with the pigment ink, then giving it a bit of a finished edge with the brown distress oxide.

Adding a few sequins and tiny enamel dots finished off this card.

Bring out the Sunshine

Hey everyone! I have been doing tons of colouring lately. But not a lot that I can show… yet!

So for today, I pulled out the Bring Out The Sunshine set from My Favorite Things, and coloured her up on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I haven’t coloured up anything on kraft cardstock in a long time.

I recently purchased a set of 20 Caran D’ache Luminance coloured pencils, and 4 additional colours to that. So I mixed them with my Polychromos to colour up this little lady.

My verdict on the Luminance pencils after their first use… I will be buying more. Lol I am an art supply junkie!

Technique Junkies July Release

Hey everyone! It is new release day over at Technique Junkies, and this release is awesome! I love the theme, just hope over to check out all the fun new release stamps!

I have always wanted to get more into art journaling, the pages people come up with always blow me away. And having a thick junkie book at the end is always something I wanted. But I always found the books to large. So I picked a small Dylusions Journal and this size may work for me.

But, for my first page I pulled out the new Sailing Panel stamp, and coloured it up with my copics. Then to add some texture to the background I used White Caps, finishing off the stamped sentiment Salwater Heals. Now i need to work on my handlettering lol!

Wallpaper Art

Hey everyone! This one took 3 days to complete, but I am in love with the way it came out.

I have wanted this set, Wallpaper Art from Altenew, since it first came out. I finally got my hands on it. I had this vision of white flowers on kraft paper. Which meant coloured pencils.

It turned out exactly as I imagined, and during the 30 day colouring challenge it fit in perfect. Took a few days to complete, with a little colouring a day.

Chillin’ Frenchies

Hey everyone! I am still plugging along on the 30 day colouring challenge! I pulled out one of the newer sets from Simon Says Stamp called Chillin’ Frenchies!

I have not played with my pencil’s in a long time. Also, seeing as my son’s baseball season is coming to an end I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make a fun card for the coach from all the boys on the team. I don’t normally gush about my boy, or people in our lives. But my goodness did he get a great coach this year, he went above and beyond doing extra practices with the boys, and helping them become little men.

So I coloured this one up on some kraft coloured cardstock. Super happy with this clean and simple card. Now I need to colour up the rest of the dogs in this set!

Forest Creature Birthday!

Hey everyone! Today I am playing with my Inktense Pencils and C.C. Designs!

I always love fun and whimsical animals to paint and colour up for cards. This little fox matched perfectly with my inktense pencils! I turned on the camera to capture the process of this one!

Start to finish on this little card was about 40 minutes. I really love getting lost in painting things up. Water soluble mediums have slowly become my favorite!
