Hey everyone, did you see yesterday guest post.. if you didn’t you should really go back and look at it! Today I am back and this card could be a cop out… lol. But I really like it anyway. I used some paper out of my scrap bin and stuck it through my cameo to cut square mats (What can I say my creativity was a no show this day cut me a break. Then when I didnt like the square edges I rounded them with my 1/2″ corner chomeer from We R Memory Keepers.

I used my Tim Holts Distress Paint in Picket Fence to white wash the Scraptastic woodveneers. The sentiment is stamped in Archival ink the colour is Potting Soil, and the Sentiment is from my trusty Hero Arts Christmas stamp. I finished it all off with some of my May Arts Natural jute twine.

Grandpa for Fathers Day

Father’s day is coming! For a change, I am ahead of the game. (Don’t get use to it lol.) I have been having tons of fun playing with this set and doing some simple masculine cards, they always seem to be a challenge.

Really did keep this card super simple, inked through a stencil a little spray and jute and wood veneer.

Oh, Hello

Oh Hello 1 Oh Hello 2 oh Hello 3 Oh Hello

So I was playing on my ustream channel, just making some cards, and I chose a wonderful little stamp set from Scraptastic. I am a subscriber to their PL kit, and their scrapbooking kit. Yes, I don’t only make cards, ha ha!

I thought it would be fun to use a stamp set that was designed for scrapbooking in a card! It can be done!

Oh Hello 1

I know the Iphone image did not stamp perfect, probably because I was using the rougher side of the watercolour paper, but I like it anyway. The sentiment also comes from the same set.

Feeling a little shabby.

o, me being me, I suckered asked Sarah to stream for us this afternoon. She is an amazing card maker you can see her blog here. It never fails, I read her blog, watch her YouTube, or watch her on ustream she always makes me want to pull out my lace, trims, fabric, soft colours and do a little shabby chic. So, as I was saying, this afternoon she was streaming and that is exactly what I did. I actually lifted a card design I have been seeing her do lately to make this card.

I really think it turned out lovely, I dug into my stash and pulled out some lace, sari silk and cheese cloth. Dyed the cheese clothe with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine, the back round paper is from Donna Salazar’s Antiquities paper stack, and the front panel is a watercolour look, again using Colour Shine. The cork and wood veneer butterflies are out of my Scraptastic kits.

I really am completely satisfied with the way this card came out. the cheese cloth, lace and sari silk look fantastic all layered on eachother.
