Batter Bestie

Baseball Bestie 1

Hey everyone! Today’s card is a Sherri Baldy My Bestie Digital stamp (IMG309). I have been loving lots of layers again lately, I got away from it for a while and was doing very clean and simple cards and its lovely to be back into more layered loo. Don’t worry for all you clean and simple cardmakers that may read my blog I have a plan to do some of them again soon as well.

Baseball Besties 2

I have used papers from Maja Designs and well and Poin on this card (all products will of course be listed below). The My Besties images have honestly always intimidated me, and I never seem finish them, well now I can’t wait to start colouring the next one.

Primitive Bird

Joycee Card 1

Hey everyone. I have a lovely friend over on Ustream, The Frugal Eclectic (Joycee) who inspires me regularly. Her ability to take things I would normally throw in the recycle bin and turn it into something lovely. Well a couple weeks ago she made this sweet little card out of some paper she was painting on. Some of us loved the shape of her bird so much and the card we actually got her to measure it and give it to us so that we could all make a template (I added a wing to mine).

Joycee Card 2

I used some of my Graphic 45 French Country (8×8) that I have left in my stash. I lifted the card that Joycee had made fairly closely. Kept it simple and let the primitive bird stand out on the front. I used some May Arts twine to tie around the bird and the front panel. Behind that I have some DCWV burlap. All the papers have been inked with Walnut Stain.

Make a wish…

Make a wish PS

Hey everyone! Back today with another sweet little card. I have always loved this stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I have used it over and over again, and still continue to love it.

Make a wish PS 2

There is no patterned paper on this card, which has been one of my favorite things it seems lately. Ink and white paper seems to keep very happy, probably considering the abundance of colouring mediums I have in my possession.

Lawn Fawn – Critter Ever After

Neenah Solar White 80lbs

Neenah Solar White 110lbs

Spellbinders – Regal Frames

Simple trees

Hey everyone! Jess here again using the same stamp and die set as yesterday, the Snow Day set from Lawn Fawn,  This card I kept rather simple stamping the tree outline and colouring them in with my Copic’s, G111, G14, G17, and G28, then cut them out with the coordinating die.

I then wrapped some May Arts twine around the white panel and stamped my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink, and attached my trees with foam tape. Then finished off the twine by tying it in a bow over top.

I dug in my Scraptastic Life Noted card stash and found this fun triangle one and cut it down to fit behind the white panel. Noticing that it looked rather plain on the Neenah Solar white card base I took out my most used and loved stencil (Tim Holtz Spatter stencil) masked off the areas I didn’t want to use and then used distress ink in Peacock Feathers, and picked raspberries through the stencil to create a lovely backround. Attatched my focal panel on some foam tape and it was complete.

Bunny Christmas

DSC_0107

Good morning everyone! Did you check out Annette’s card yesterday! I really loves the traditional colours she used! If you didn’t you should go back and check out her post!

So confession time, I went to put today’s card up this morning, because yesterday got away from me. Attempted to pull the photo’s off of the memory card, and well the card is fouled and I can not get anything off of it. Would normally not be a big deal, but I live 20 minutes out of the city, and nothing is open at 6:30 am on a statutory holiday where I can purchase a card. So today and tomorrows card, unfortunately will not be using my cameo. They are cards I had photographed and already pulled off for a couple posts in November. Plus note, you get to see them now!

So this card was made using the Lawn Fawn Snow Day Stamps and Dies, as well as the Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree Stamps and dies. I stamped the two bunnies that face eachother and coloured them with my copics W00, w01, w03, w05,w07, R22, and R20. I also stamped a row of lights and the bell from the Trim the tree set and coloured them with Y11, Y13, and Y15, Using the coordinating dies I cut them all out.

I then cut a piece of Neenah white with the row of trees in the Snow Day set and pieced it back together creating a back panel for my bunnies to rest on.  The sentiment is stamped with Versa Fine Onyx Black ink and then a piece of May arts Twine is tied in a bow underneath it. All the patterened paper is scraps from my scrap bin, I know the triangle paper is from Simon Says Stamps christmas card kit last year (I can not remember who the manufacturer was) and the other paper I do not even have a guess but its just a simple grey paper with a white dot pattern.

Hey everyone, did you see yesterday guest post.. if you didn’t you should really go back and look at it! Today I am back and this card could be a cop out… lol. But I really like it anyway. I used some paper out of my scrap bin and stuck it through my cameo to cut square mats (What can I say my creativity was a no show this day cut me a break. Then when I didnt like the square edges I rounded them with my 1/2″ corner chomeer from We R Memory Keepers.

I used my Tim Holts Distress Paint in Picket Fence to white wash the Scraptastic woodveneers. The sentiment is stamped in Archival ink the colour is Potting Soil, and the Sentiment is from my trusty Hero Arts Christmas stamp. I finished it all off with some of my May Arts Natural jute twine.

Avery Elle Many Thanks

avery elle thank you 1

I started with a piece of Ranger Watercolour paper cut to 4×5 1/4, and use Distress Ink in the colours, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Squeezed Lemonade. I put the inkpads on a ranger craft sheet and sprayed with water, after drying the first layer of colour, I tapped the piece back in the water to add some further layers, increasing the watercolour effect.

Avery Elle THank you 2

Then on a white panned I stamped the Thank you sentiment from the Avery Elle set, the for everything is from a SSS set called Life is a Journey.

Avery Elle Thank you 3

I then made a bow on the front of the card using May Arts Turquoise Twill Stripes ribbon. Added a few enamel dots from my stash in similar colours, put it all on a white card base and the card was complete! Quick and simple.

Star Birthday

sss bday

Hey everyone! It has been a while, I am hopefully going to be here and be blogging more frequently. But today I am here with a fun card!!!

The back round of this card was made with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder, and the flowers from the SSS Life is a Journey stamp set, I then took a piece of card stock slightly larger and covered the edge of it in the gold embossing powder as well and layered it in behind.

sss bday2

The shaker card was made using Doodle Bug Peacock Vellum, the large star inside is from Heidi Swapp’s Colour Magic star chipboard pieces (I don’t know if these are still available anywhere, I then filled the rest of the shaker card with Studio Calico tiny star wood veneers, and studio calico sequins in aqua and pink.

To close the shaker I put a piece of acetate on tip and wrapped washi around to hide the foam tape, the washi tape is from an older My Minds Eye line.

SSS Bday 3

The sentiment is from SSS Birthday Messages stamp set, again embossed using the Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. I, then, cut a slit on either side of the shaker element and fed a piece of May Arts Sheer ruffle edge ribbon in turquoise and tied it in a bow.

Hugs,

Jess
